Romeo and Juliet Tybalt And Mercutio Death: Act 3, Scene 2 The deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt| In the greatest play of all time “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, tells the story of two star-crossed lovers who take their own lives.
In Act 3, scene 1 while Mercutio and Benvolio are joking around they are interrupted by some Capulets including Tybalt, who is looking for Romeo. When Romeo arrives he tries to make peace with Tybalt, but Mercutio feeling his friend has been insulted challenges Tybalt to fight.
Romeo tries to stop the fight between the two men and Mercutio is wounded.
Mercutio death curses both houses.
